Maybelline : Creamy Mattes lipsticks !

Hello everyone !

It has been a while since I last wrote a blog and many of you have been asking me to write again ๐Ÿ™‚

Before I start writing I would like to thank all of you who sincerely read my blog and enjoy it.

With Diwali around the corner most of you are planning to shop for your outfits, jewellery and makeup, which is why I thought to review the Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks for this festive season.

So let’s get started ..!

  • Even though Creamy Matte lipsticks of Maybelline have been in the market for quite some time, what caught my attention was that they have come up with a combo pack at an affordable price
  • I bought these from Health and Glow store in Inorbit mall, Vashi
  • The combo pack of 2 lipsticks is for Rs.399, which is roughly Rs.200 each
  • Since it’s festive season I opted for bright and colourful shades

Pink My Red – Pink shade

Bold Crimson – Red shade

  • If you wish to see the ingredients here is the list (it might not be very clear but if you want exact list let me know in the comments)

  • The colour of both these lipsticks are perfect for the festive season. The Pink shade is bright and colourful while the red one is a strong bold red (just as its name suggests)
  • What I also liked is that these lipsticks are actually moisturising and creamy but they don’t seem to have a long lasting matte effect

To sum up the pros and cons

  • Colourful shades available
  • Affordable price
  • Creamy and moisturising for the lips
  • Available at popular beauty stores in most malls

  • Does not have long lasting matte effect
  • You cannot choose the two shades of your choice, since they are pre- packed

Overall I would rate it 4/5

In trend: Belt bag

Lately quite a few celebrities from Priyanka Chopra to Kendall Jenner have been spotted following this trend and for a bag lover like me, I just found a reason to add something new to my bag collection.

Belt bag also known as Fanny bag/Bum bag; the name of which is derived from the style in which the bag is used; worn as a belt with a pouch around the waist.

Belt bags can be of different types like a simple sports belt bag or a classy leather belt bag.

Initially I found it difficult to find these bags in offline stores but later found them at Bigbazar store in Inorbit mall Vashi which was for INR 899/-, it was a sturdy and classy black bag but looked a little too big to be worn around the waist, so I continued my hunt for more affordable options online and came across a black belt bag which was for INR 814/- and ordered it.

I received the bag in a weeks time, talking about the quality of the bag even though it looked like a classic black bag, it wasn’t worth the price I paid, since it was delicate and prone to getting wrinkled on being folded or scratch marks from my nails on rough use of the bag.Nonetheless I love my new bag ๐Ÿ˜

So is a belt bag/fanny pack just a styling accessory? No, apart from being a fashion accessory using a belt bag has many advantages too, let us have a look at some of the benefits!

  • Keeps hands free while shopping, exercising etc
  • 2 in 1 as its a belt cum bag
  • Safer to carry than regular bags as they are tied around the waist making it difficult to steal

Outfits that go well along with a belt bag are:

A belt bag would look great with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt or a shirt dress.
